We have spent much time in prayer as we were moved to the decision of this ministry. Every day God reveals more to us by opening doors that we never thought of. Currently, many people have come to us with many “church hurts” and honestly we have been there at times in our lives. I have yet to understand why people in the church want to hurt people that are coming to be loved on by Christians, by Christ and to find answers and peace. Instead they find hatred, anger and people that are just not happy in their own walk with Christ, so they take it out on others. Or maybe they feel Christians in their church are an elite group of people, so they need to control. I don’t know for sure why this is such an everyday occurrence in our world, other than the devil has his hold on people. What I do know is that there are people that need our love/compassion and more importantly Christ’s love and forgiveness. And it is our job as Christians in the church to guide others to God and then get out of the way and let God do his work.
We now realize that our purpose in G&G is to love on people and guide their hurting hearts to God. We do that through conferences and concerts. In a couple of months we will be doing a “church hurt” group at a couple of churches with curriculum that we have developed. We will let you know times and places when we are up and running.
We would love to hear your comments and thoughts about this subject of church hurt.
